They were calling it seven minutes of terror. NASA’s rover, Curiosity, was making its final descent onto the surface of Mars, and the smallest mishap could have ruined millions of dollars and years of effort in getting a new rover onto Mars’s surface. Instead of disaster, everything went according to schedule, and the landing of the little rover that could launched a few internet memes of its own.
