Forget The Cronut Or The Fonut. All Hail The Wonut!

‘Nut enthusiasts have already gone gaga for the cronut (a donut-croissant hybrid) and the fonut (a baked donut that’s vegan and gluten-free). However, will they be equally as excited about the… drumroll pleaseWONUT?!?


The newly invented baked good is a donut-waffle mash-up and it looks effing delish. The wonut is currently causing a commotion at Rise Biscuits & Donuts in Durham, North Carolina.



How do the bakers make these tiny pieces of glazed heaven? It’s all about thickening donut batter to match waffle batter and then pouring the mix into a waffle iron. The final set? Fry that sucker and drizzle the glaze accordingly.
