Will Taylor Swift Apologize to Katy Perry for Sake of Collaboration?

Taylor Swift

It’s so weird. There was a time when it seemed like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were, at least, friendly. They did a great job of making it seem like they got along and, really, why wouldn’t they? They are both young artists trying to make it in the entertainment business. You’d figure they had each other’s back, right?

It was clear, however, when Taylor Swift released the video for her single, “Bad Blood,” that things with Perry had taken a turn for the definite worst.

This past Saturday, Katy Perry was on Twitter responding to fans which, of course, caused a considerable frenzy. Interestingly enough, she even chose to address a query about this famous feud and the possibility of the pair making music together in the future.

The question was “Will you collab with Taylor swift” and the 31-year-old singer responded by saying “If she says sorry, sure!”

That was a bit of a shock!

Naturally, Taylor Swift has always made herself the victim in this situation. Without naming her frenemy, she told Rolling Stone: “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business.”

While she never confirmed publicly that her beef was with Perry, ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, took a shot her and said: I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

So… what’s going to happen? So far, Taylor Swift hasn’t responded to what Perry said but it would be interesting to see her apologize. I wonder if it would need to be a public apology in order for Katy Perry to accept it. Let’s hope something happens with this!
