Zendaya Overestimates Her Importance… Again!
Almost everyone has heard of Beyoncé’s visual album, Lemonade, because it was fierce as hell. Most people, however, would not have been able to pick Zendaya out of the group of women featured in the “All Night” video.
That’s not to say that she doesn’t deserve recognition – Queen Bey chose her and that has to count for something – but let’s keep some perspective about everything, okay?
Instead, the 20-year-old is talking about her cameo in the grandest of terms. When it aired back in April, she uploaded an image to Instagram with the caption: “One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever had the honor of being a part of … Black. Girl. Magic.”
This week, she’s still talking about it. She told Good Morning America: “It was a really powerful moment and I feel like I was a part of music history… I’m just obsessed with Beyoncé and have been since my birth.”
Uhhh, it’s so stupid when young stars say stuff like this. I get that they want to establish themselves as mega fans or whatever but it just comes across insulting. Bey isn’t very old but when you’ve got a 20-year-old saying she’s been a fan “since birth” it’s… unintentionally rude?
Zendaya also said: “Just to be there and really learn from her and see how amazing she is — how detail oriented. It was just cool to just sit back and watch.”
Well, if she really learned anything from Beyoncé she wouldn’t be running her mouth.
