Do We Really Need a Tonya Harding Movie Starring Margot Robbie?
First of all, can we escape Margot Robbie for a minute? Someone please tell her that she’s not the next Amy Adams. Actually, maybe she is. There was a time with Adams was in so many movies that people just got sick of her. Now, you rarely see her anymore. Pace yourselves, starlets!

Second, why in the world is there a movie based on Tonya Harding? That story is ancient news now and it’s just so stupid.
In case you live under a rock (or were born in the 2000s), there was a huge rivalry between American figure skaters, Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding. As they prepared for the Olympics in 1994, Kerrigan was attacked after a training session.
It didn’t take long for everyone to find out that Harding’s ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly, had hired a hitman to break Kerrigan’s leg to help secure a medal for his loser wife. The craziest part was that the whole incident was caught on tape, leading the world to incessantly talk about Kerrigan crying on the floor screaming “why?” over and over again.
The answer to the question, of course, was that Harding didn’t stand a chance in hell of beating Kerrigan by her own merit and had to resort to thuggery. In the end, Kerrigan left the Olympics with the silver medal while Harding ended the competition in 8th place.
Why is Harding not in jail, you ask? Because she took a deal. Instead of serving time, she was on probation for three years, fined $160,000 and had to complete 500 hours of community service.
Robbie is going to take on this ridiculous role and was spotted recently looking frumpy and trashy. Sounds about right. The film is slated for release sometime in 2018.
