Fear Factor Will Return with Ludacris as Host
Audiences better get their barf bags ready because Fear Factor is returning to MTV. Remember when a guy tried to sue the show for grossing him out? It was, after all, pretty nasty.
While Joe Rogan is best associated with the show, Ludacris will be stepping in to take over the hosting duties for the reboot. That’s going to be a huge change.

According to a press release, this fresh installment will be “filled with new stunts inspired by urban legends, popular scary movies and viral videos from today’s cultural zeitgeist” while daring contestants to face their fears and push themselves outside of their comfort zones.
One funny thing is that MTV seems to really want us to know that they understand millennials. The network’s president, Chris McCarthy, released a statement saying: “MTV is about celebrating youth culture, and with the reinvented ‘Fear Factor,’ we are putting the power in our audience’s hands to face and overcome their biggest fears. We are thrilled to partner with Ludacris, one of the biggest global stars who has a rich history with MTV, to energize this franchise for a whole new generation.”
Okay, we get it. This is a revamp and won’t be the same old thing! We just worry that they might go too far with the whole “youth” thing since the challenges include “personal cell phone rescues.”
If you’re interested, the series will include twelve, one-hour episodes which premiere on Tuesday, May 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
