Abby Lee Miller’s Attitude About Jail Sentence is Surprising

We’ve been waiting to see if Abby Lee Miller would be getting jail time for hiding money from the government and now the wait is over – she has been sentenced to one year and one day behind bars and, without missing a beat, the former Dance Moms star said it sounded like a film title.

Clearly, Miller intends to make the most of this situation and is already working on a book.

How is she dealing with the idea, though, that she won’t be living a free life for a while? “I’m just going to pretend I’m shooting a movie and we’re on set and I’m there for 10 months, and that’s how it’s going to be,” Miller said. She’s also planning to learn Spanish. We guess you’ve just gotta do what you’ve gotta do to stay sane!

Back in August, Miller admitted: “I’m afraid of being physically abused or raped. I have to stay busy. If I thought about it every day, I’d just sit around and cry.” It will be interesting to hear what she has to say after she’s completed her sentence.

In case you’re wondering, Miller was charged with attempting to hide $775,000 of income and “divvying $120,000 into separate plastic bags and having friends carry them in their luggage in August 2014, which is in violation of a law mandating people report if they are bringing more than $10,000 of a foreign currency into the U.S.”

Over the years, Miller has been painted as a bit of a villain for how she treated her students on Dance Moms so let’s hope the mean female inmates aren’t ready to teach her a lesson or two on the inside…
