Rihanna’s Weight Gain is Attracting Unwanted Attention

Have you seen any pictures of Rihanna lately? In case you haven’t noticed, she’s been rocking a fuller figure and, while some people have refrained from commenting on someone else’s body (because it’s none of our business), some have made a point of shaming her for her weight gain.

A writer named Chris Sprags got more than he bargained for after his article, “Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?” was published on Barstool Sports’ site.

First of all, Rihanna clearly noticed and responded by posting a meme to Instagram. The image featured two pictures of Gucci Mane – one when he was heavier back in 2007 and another from this year where he’s noticeably thinner. The caption said, along with a tear emoji: “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane.”

Good one!

On top of that, Mr. Sprags was suspended indefinitely by the site’s founder, David Portnoy, because it wasn’t funny enough. “If you’re gonna blog about Rihanna gaining weight you better be funny as f— and you better make it bullet proof,” Portnoy wrote. Fair enough.
