“Bachelor in Paradise” Halted Amid Sexual Assault Investigation
The internet is buzzing with rumors and stories about a possible sexual assault on the set of Bachelor in Paradise. Right now, the information is scant but it looks like the contestants involved in the incident are Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.
Producers filmed as the encounter between Corinne and DeMario played out but, later, a field producer would complain about the events.
A source quoting DeMario described the situation saying: “He and Corinne were drinking heavily and making out at the bar. She suggested they take it to the swimming pool, where they took their clothes off and began ‘rubbing, touching and fingering.” He also claims she put her genitals in his face and he began licking. He says he was unable to consummate things because he was so drunk.”
As Warner Bros. investigates the situation, all of the contestants have been sent home and the season has been suspended indefinitely. Of course, we will need more information but we can’t help but be curious about what makes this worse than any of the other drunken hookups we’ve seen on the show.
Let’s hope that everyone is safe and that no one’s reputation is being destroyed based on one person’s perception of an encounter that they may not have even seen.
