Prince William and Kate Are Expecting Third Child!
You guys! This is so exciting! Prince William and his wife, Kate, are going to have another baby! She gave us all a clue recently when, during a visit to Poland and Germany in July, a woman gave them a gift for a newborn and Kate joked, “we will just have to have more babies!”
Now, we’ve all been able to rejoice at an official announcement from Kensington Palace that said: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.”
Well, it’s definitely rough that poor Kate, 35, is dealing with the acute form of morning sickness yet again but, clearly, it isn’t enough to stop her from expanding their family. No one can accuse her of being weak because dealing with non-stop vomiting is no joke!
While many women feel queasy during their pregnancy, hyperemesis gravidarum only affects about one to three percent of pregnant women. In some cases, such as Kate’s, the condition is so debilitating that it requires hospitalization.
As Dr. Roger Gadsby of Warwick University explains, “your life is on hold while the symptoms are present,” which can last all the way up until the baby is born. Some women even vomit dozens of times a day and are unable to get out of bed.
Currently, the couple are parents to Prince George, 4 and Princess Charlotte, 2.
