Did Tom Cruise Put a 5-Year Ban on Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes?

There have been rumors for YEARS but, finally, we have some sort of confirmation that Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are a couple! The pair were spotted on a beach and (gasp!!!), they were holding hands.

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes Hold Hands

Sure, it’s been the worst-kept secret for years but there’s something crazy about finally seeing it! Word on the street is that Tom Cruise, Holmes’ ex-husband and, we’re assuming, Foxx’s former best friend, allegedly made it legally impossible for them to be together publicly (how crazy is that?).

Since 2013, a year after her divorce, Holmes has been linked to Foxx and even was spotted wearing a ring that the actor denied giving to her. He also denied their relationship all together. Why would he do that if, clearly, they are seeing each other (if not married!)?

Apparently, Cruise may have included a clause in their divorce settlement that prevented Holmes from dating anyone publicly for five whole years. A source claims, “Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce. She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri. Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”

If you’re thinking Holmes just gave up anything she wanted in the divorce – which was settled in a mere 10 days – you’d be wrong. Apparently, she also included the stipulation that Suri not be involved in Scientology in any way. That’s a huge deal and likely explains why he never sees the little girl. You can’t help but wonder what Holmes had on Cruise to make him agree…

Either way, congratulations to the happy couple. We’re looking forward to seeing more… FoxxyKat?
