Uma Thurman Breaks Her Silence on Harvey Weinstein

Uma Thurman has starred in several Harvey Weinstein-produced films including Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, so, when the scandal broke, people wondered if she would come forward with her own allegations.

Initially, she declined to comment when asked and, instead, told Access Hollywood, “I’ve learned that when I’ve spoken in anger I usually regret the way I express myself. So I’ve been waiting to feel less angry. And when I’m ready, I’ll say what I have to say.”

She’s starting to feel more comfortable, it seems, since she took to Instagram to share a special Thanksgiving message, part of which was directed at Weinstein himself. Along with a picture of herself as the bride from Kill Bill, she wrote:

“H A P P Y T H A N K S G I V I N G I am grateful today, to be alive, for all those I love, and for all those who have the courage to stand up for others. I said I was angry recently, and I have a few reasons, #metoo, in case you couldn’t tell by the look on my face. I feel it’s important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators – I’m glad it’s going slowly – you don’t deserve a bullet) -stay tuned Uma Thurman”

It’s horrible that anyone has had to suffer at the hands of someone they thought they could trust but the upside of this whole nightmare is that women are becoming more and more confident with coming forward. We haven’t heard the last of Thurman and, hopefully, when she’s ready, she will receive the support she deserves.
