Tori Spelling Calls Baby #5 the “Pillar of the Rebirth” of Her Marriage
It’s no secret that, in addition to their money troubles, Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott, have been having marital problems. It’s no surprise since the two things tend to go hand-in-hand but, also, there’s the issue of infidelity. The couple did, after all, meet while McDermott was still married to his first wife, Mary Jo Eustace, so it’s hardly a surprise that he is capable of being unfaithful.
After McDermott cheated on Spelling, their relationship really was in shambles. They already had four children that they were struggling to care for financially so this must have been a horrible added layer of stress. Spelling shocked everyone, therefore, when she revealed that she was pregnant so quickly after the scandal broke. Now, she’s calling 9-month-old son, Beau Dean, a “symbol” of their restored marriage.
“I feel like Beau is really the pillar of the rebirth of our relationship because our relationship had to crumble for it to be rebuilt and it was really important that we just start it over,” Spelling told PEOPLE. “I think Beau is a symbol of that because he’s the first baby out of all five that we’re raising in a communicative way.”
Interesting. While, on one hand, most of us can understand what she’s trying to say, there’s something about this that feels forced and, hopefully, this little boy doesn’t grow up feeling responsible for his parents’ marriage.
The couple, who wed in May 2006, are also raising Liam Aaron, Stella Doreen, Hattie Margaret, and Finn Davey.
