Prince Harry: Meghan Markle’s First Royal Christmas was “Fantastic”
If you’re wondering how Meghan Markle’s first Christmas with the royal family went, Prince Harry has declared the inaugural holiday a success. During a sit-down with Radio 4, Prince William’s younger brother spilled the deets on how it all went down.
When asked about the special occasion, the 33-year-old fiancé to the former Suits actress explained: “She really enjoyed it. The family loved having her there… There’s always that family part of Christmas [where] there’s always that work element there as well, and I think together we had an amazing time,” he said. “We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running round with the kids. Christmas was fantastic.”
Apparently, Harry and Markle stayed at the home of William and Kate during the festive time. Kate is expecting the couple’s third child who will join, 4-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte sometime in 2018.
Describing Markle’s ability to fit in with his family, Harry said: “She’s done an absolutely amazing job, she’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.”
The itinerary included a walk to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene alongside William and Kate as they closely followed behind Prince Philip. Much was made of the fact that the 36-year-old actress looped her hand around Harry’s arm, a rare show of PDA among royals. She also perfectly executed her curtsy as she greeted the Queen for the first time in public.
There’s no doubt that this was probably a stressful but exciting moment for the couple so it’s great to hear that everything went well!
